It's a Wrap!TM

Coffee Beans

Wraps were tested at 15 minute intervals, the initial temperature in all cases was 200 Degrees F. After 30 minutes, the uninsulated Press measured 168 Degrees while the Same Press with our ThinsulateTM wrap measured 188 degrees.

Thermal performance test data from 3M shows insulating qualities of uninsulated French presses, presses with our original wraps and presses with our new ThinsulateTM 200 gram insulated wraps:

What is a French Press?

French Press coffee is a unique brewing method that allows you to savor the true flavor of the coffee. When coffee is brewed using a paper filter, the natural oils of the coffee are filtered out. Because coffee is brewed in the French Press Pot by direct infusion with the boiled water (steeping), the true flavor of the coffee is what you find in your cup. Like tea, coffee develops its true subtle flavors after only a few minutes of steeping. This is why the French Press brewing method eliminates the acid taste that can result from the more aggressive drip brewing method. With a French Press Pot, you experience an aromatic and mild, yet rich taste of coffee, without acidity. It is the favored brewing method for baristas* around the world when they want to test a certain coffee bean's flavor.

*barista: one who is fully informed and practiced in the art of coffee making; means "bartender" in Italian.

Steaming Coffee

"Actually, this seems to be the basic need of the human heart in nearly every great crisis - a good hot cup of coffee."

~Alexander King
